Medical officer for operations and outcomes
Daniel Sengenberger is a family physician who sees patients at West Medford Health Center and serves as the organization’s medical officer for operations and outcomes, working with teams to plan and manage operations of all La Clinica medical clinics.
Dr. Sengenberger holds a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of San Diego in California. He completed his residency in family medicine at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. Before joining La Clinica in 2013, he served eight years in the US Navy.
Osteopathic physicians understand how the body’s systems are interconnected and how each one affects the others. They receive special training in the musculoskeletal system so that they better understand how that system influences the condition of all other body systems. In addition, DOs are trained to identify and correct structural problems, which can assist the body’s natural tendency toward health and self-healing. Dr. Sengenberger’’s professional interests include preventive medicine, clinical genetics, and osteopathic manipulation. He also performs vasectomies, circumcisions, and other office surgeries.
Dr. Sengenberger is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
A native of Portland, he now lives in Medford with his family. He enjoys playing the guitar, rowing, fishing, and camping.
“I gain great satisfaction from working with patients to improve their health regardless of their resources,” he says.
Dr. Sengenberger is part of the West Medford Health Center care team.
