Ruth Murray is a bilingual certified nurse midwife practicing at La Clinica’s Family and Women’s Health Center.
Ruth holds a master’s degree from the dual Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health and Gender-Related Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Nursing and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American studies from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She holds a nursing degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She was a nurse in the Neonatal and Infant Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before returning to school to study midwifery. She also has worked as a Spanish-language interpreter for a health clinic and as a family advocate for a maternal and child health community outreach program in Philadelphia.
She is board certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, she now lives in Ashland with her husband, Joe, and her dog, Zoey. She enjoys cooking for family and friends, hiking new trails, traveling to new places, and learning about the Rogue Valley.
