Tess Simmons is a dentist at La Clinica’s East Medford Dental Clinic.
Dr. Simmons attended the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School, where she earned a doctor of dental surgery degree with high honors and a distinction in dental education. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in history from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Before coming to Oregon, she worked in El Paso, Texas, with Smile Life Orthodontics and Dentistry as a general dentist focusing on family and cosmetic dentistry. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Oregon Dental Association.
A native of Amarillo, Texas, she now lives in southern Oregon area and is excited to have the opportunity to get to know her community and neighbors. Dr. Simmons has three dogs: Olive Oil, a chocolate lab; and Finley and Penelope, both bull terriers. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, gardening, traveling, and soccer.
She was inspired to join La Clinica’s staff because of the organization’s service mission, she said. “I just want to help people have healthy lives and smiles, and La Clinica allows me to do that.”
As a native Texan, she was also drawn to Oregon’s trees and water. “While I’m far from home, the citizens of the valley have been so nice to me, so that is nice, too,” she said.
