MEDICAL OFFICER FOR OPERATIONS AND OUTCOMES
Daniel Sengenberger is an osteopathic family physician who sees patients at West Medford Health Center and serves as La Clinica’s medical officer for operations and outcomes, working with teams to plan and manage operations of all of the organization’s medical clinics.
Dr. Sengenberger holds a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of San Diego in California. He completed his residency in family medicine at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. Before joining La Clinica in 2013, he served eight years in the US Navy as a medical officer, deploying to the Arabian Gulf and Afghanistan.
Osteopathic physicians complete education that is similar to MDs. They also receive special training in the musculoskeletal system to understand how the body works together and how structure and function are interrelated. Dr. Sengenberger focuses on these principles and the body’s capacity to regulate itself as he works with patients to find the right treatment that will guide them toward health. He also practices the breadth of family medicine: from acute care to chronic disease management and from well-baby checkups to advanced care planning for the end of life. He performs office-based surgeries such as vasectomies, circumcisions, and skin surgeries and evaluations.
Dr. Sengenberger is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Osteopathy and the Osteopathic Cranial Academy.
A native of Portland, he now lives in Medford with his family. He enjoys playing the guitar, rowing, fishing, and camping.
“I gain great satisfaction from working with patients to improve their health regardless of their resources,” he says.
