Janet Reavis is a family nurse practitioner who sees patients at La Clinica Student Health and Wellness Center at Southern Oregon University.
She provides primary health care, including gender-affirming care, for students on the Ashland campus. She has cared for SOU students for more than 25 years.
Janet also worked at the Carnegie Mellon Student Health Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and at a community health center and a Veterans Affairs medical center in New Mexico. As a nurse, she worked in burn and trauma units at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque and as organ procurement coordinator for New Mexico’s organ donor program.
She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing and family nurse practitioner certification from the University of New Mexico. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Janet is part of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.
Janet describes her supportive approach to care as saying yes to patients and working alongside them to figure out how to best meet their needs.
