Lauralyn Carter-Meletich is a physician board certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulation. She sees patients at Phoenix Health Center.
Dr. Carter is a primary care provider with particular interest in skin diseases, sports medicine, and addiction medicine. English is her first language, but after living in Miami and Latin America and doing her residency training in Hialeah, Florida, she enjoys the opportunity to see patients in Spanish. She believes strongly in equal access to health care for all people regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or economic background.
Before medical school she served in the U.S. Navy, completed a master’s degree with field research in ethnobotany and phytochemistry, and taught high school science.
She and her husband moved to Oregon in 2008 and feel lucky to live in our beautiful valley. She enjoys cycling, kayaking and rafting, gardening, and knitting.
