Laurel Brown is a physician assistant who practices at Birch Grove Health Center.
Laurel joined La Clinica in 2015 and has experience working with all ages of patients in community clinics and private practice. She studied to be a physician assistant at Stanford University in California and holds a master’s degree in medical science from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Montana State University in Bozeman.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
A physician assistant is a licensed medical professional who conducts physical exams, diagnoses and treats illness, orders tests, assists in surgery, and prescribes medicine. Laurel’s background includes work in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, and otolaryngology, which deals with disorders of the ear, nose, and throat.
A native of San Diego, Laurel has served on the board of directors of OnTrack, a Medford addictions recovery center.
She was drawn to La Clinica by its approach to helping patients.
