Dr. Mary Cutler is a family physician who sees patients at Phoenix Health Center and provides school-based care.
Dr. Cutler joined the staff of La Clinica in 1997. She has practiced medicine across the West, including at a farm worker clinic in California, on the Navajo reservation, and in Klamath Falls. She also has worked abroad. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. Her medical interests include women’s health, pediatrics, and cross-cultural health care.
She earned her medical degree from the University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco, and completed a residency in family practice at Tacoma Family Medicine in Tacoma, Washington. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
She loves being part of a community health center where anyone can get care regardless of income or insurance coverage. She especially likes working with the Latino population as she has connections that go back to childhood and organizing for farmworker rights with her parents. With all her patients, she focuses on respectfully engaging them on healthcare decisions that work for them.
Outside work, she enjoys nature and travel, often combining the two. In the winter, you’ll find her skiing and in the summer she’s backpacking, hiking, or up to her elbows in yardwork.
