Michelle Bryant is a family nurse practitioner who sees patients at Phoenix Health Center. She started working at La Clinica in November 2020.
She has worked as a family nurse practitioner in private practice, public health clinics, Veterans Affairs, and at a university health center. She ran a clinic for the homeless for 8 years in Colorado and practiced in refugee camps in Sudan and Ethiopia for two years. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and a master’s degree in nursing from Sage Graduate School in upstate New York. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Born in England while her father was stationed there in the Air Force, she grew up in Missouri and Florida. She enjoys hiking with her dog, gardening, reading and traveling.
Michelle takes a holistic approach to well-being, recognizing that the body and mind work together. She is inspired by her favorite quote from Thomas Edison, written in 1903: “The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but instead will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”
