Mizuna Allman is a mental health therapist at La Clinica’s school-based health centers at Central Point and Mae Richardson elementary schools.
She came to La Clinica from Jackson County Mental Health, where she served as a child and family therapist, providing individual, family, and group therapy.
Mizuna holds a master’s degree in applied psychology from Southern Oregon University in Ashland. She is a registered licensed professional counseling intern working toward a license as a professional counselor.
A native of Toyota City, Japan, she now lives in Medford. She enjoys hiking, movies, and getting together with family and friends.
The opportunity to work in a school and collaborate with school staff, plus a desire to serve vulnerable populations, attracted her to La Clinica.
“My approach and therapy focus on building relationships with clients,” she said. “I believe that through deep connection and providing safe and comfortable settings, therapeutic growth and changes can happen.”
