Community building is important both in and out of the office to dentist Rachel Jablonski, who serves La Clinica patients at East Medford Dental Clinic.
“I fully believe that by providing education, emotional support, and health care to our community, the members of our community will be inspired and empowered to provide education, emotional support, and care to others, and this will only help us grow better and stronger together,” she said.
Dr. Jablonski is a graduate of the dental school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland and also holds an arts and letters degree from Portland State University. She served her dental residency at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where her responsibilities included responding to emergency visits for dental trauma and infections as well as assisting with dental reconstructions due to trauma and head and neck cancer.
A native of West Virginia, she now lives in downtown Medford, where she and her fiancé love to support revitalization efforts. They enjoy riding bikes, gardening, fostering a sense of community with neighbors, and supporting the arts and farmer’s markets.
Her goal as a dentist is to create an office environment in which patients feel heard and cared for in an atmosphere of safety and non-judgment. “It can be difficult to feel comfortable as a dental patient, but my team and I strive to put the patient’s fears to rest and make the visit as pleasant as possible,” she said.
