Stephanie Estes is a certified nurse midwife practicing at La Clinica Women’s Health Center.
She has a master’s degree in public health nursing from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and a post-master’s certificate in nurse midwifery from Shenandoah University in Virginia. Her undergraduate work includes a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Colorado College of Nursing.
She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Stephanie previously worked at a federally qualified health center like La Clinica on the eastern shore of Maryland. She also worked with the Baltimore City Health Department needle exchange program and co-authored guidelines for outpatient wound care for people who inject drugs.
“I encourage patients to be full partners in their healthcare experience,” Stephanie said. She practices with an emphasis on preventive health and wellness and was inspired by La Clinica’s innovative and compassionate approach to patient care.
Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, she now lives in Ashland with two cats and two rabbits. She enjoys reading and traveling.
