April Sears is a mental health therapist at the school-based health center at Armadillo Technical Institute. She came to La Clinica in November 2022.
She has a bachelor’s degree in social work from University of Alaska, Anchorage, and a master’s degree in social work from Portland State University. While earning her master’s degree, she worked with the agency Community Works to create a housing program for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
April has experience working with students without homes and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. She has provided therapy for adults, as well as youth. She strives to create a safe space for students to share, heal, and grow. April is proud to be part of the La Clinica team partnering with schools to provide accessible mental health care to children and teens.
Originally from Bend, she lives in Medford. She enjoys hiking, camping, and baking with her partner, family, and friends.
