La Clinica staff is continually assessing the needs of our community and developing programs and services to fill healthcare gaps. Our staff is well trained to optimize services within the community and works closely with many partnering organizations on patient care.

SUPPORT AND OUTREACH SERVICES

Insurance and billing support
La Clinica staff works with patients to ensure they receive the care they need. This includes reviewing what insurance will cover, billing insurance directly, helping patients apply for state-sponsored insurance programs, and providing payment programs.

Referral services
To support our patients we provide education and contact information for food assistance programs including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the temporary assistance for needy families program and the Women, Infants and Children’s, or WIC food program.  Services include referral and application assistance.

Interpreting services
Many La Clinica staff members speak Spanish, and our organization provides culturally appropriate care. If you need services in another language or for the hearing impaired, we can provide interpreters as needed; please request an interpreter when you call for your appointment.

Prescription assistance and low-cost medication programs
La Clinica participates in programs that enable us to offer low-cost prescription drug purchases at our in-house pharmacies and at partner pharmacies in the community.

Health education
La Clinica believes health education and preventive medicine are two of the most important services we provide to our patients. Our goal is to empower patients to life healthy lives.

School-based health centers
Our school-based health centers bring the doctor’s office into the school so children can be seen by a medical provider right when they need the care.

Happy Smiles
Happy Smiles provides dental education, screening services, and dental care to children in our community.

Mobile medical/dental
La Clinica works with community partners and schools to provide basic health care services through its mobile health center. La Clinica’s staff and a team of community volunteers visit migrant camps and packing houses to provide much-needed medical and dental care to workers.
