Bonita Ryall is a pediatric nurse practitioner whose work at La Clinica began in 2007. She has also held La Clinica positions as a nursing director and quality improvement director. She practices at the West Medford Health Center. She also sees patients at Medford’s Jackson and Washington elementary schools as part of La Clinica’s school-based health centers program.
Previously Bonita was a military nurse with more than 20 years in the U.S. Army.
She earned her pediatric nurse practitioner certificate in the Army, a master’s degree in nursing at Gardner-Webb University at Boiling Springs, North Carolina, and a bachelor degree in nursing at Arizona State University, Tempe. Bonita is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners and the Army Nurse Corps Association.
Bonita moved to east Medford in 2007 with her husband and two children to be near her parents, who retired to Ashland.
Her hobbies include reading, sewing, and interior decorating. She also enjoys yoga and camping. Among her favorite activities, she says, is “being a stage mother for a budding actress and a cheerleader for the athletes in my family.”
Bonita loves her volunteer work for St. Vincent DePaul’s medical outreach program and has a desire to get involved in community children’s programs.
As for her inspiration to join La Clinica’s staff:
“I have always had a passion for providing care to our most vulnerable population — children. I also believe (as does La Clinica) that everyone has the right to compassionate, excellent quality health care regardless of socioeconomic status, which is another reason why I work for La Clinica,” she said.
