Brooke Burchard is a mental health therapist in La Clinica’s school-based health centers. She sees patients at Mae Richardson Elementary and Rogue Primary schools in Central Point. Brooke joined the La Clinica team in August 2022. She has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Southern Oregon University.
“I love being able to be in schools giving kids and families support,” she said. “I know therapy can be intimidating for everyone, so my goal is to make my patients feel comfortable.”
In focusing on her patients, Brooke likes to work alongside them, building a trusting, safe environment that leads to a strong therapeutic relationship. She is training in parent-child interaction therapy and works with families at Rogue Primary, which has a playroom and observation suite for this type of therapy.
Brooke grew up in Hollister, California. She moved to Oregon in 2019. She lives in Central Point with her husband, daughter, dog, and two cats. She enjoys reading, art, and playing video games.
