Elizabeth Peterson is a mental health therapist who sees patients at La Clinica’s school-based health centers at Mae Richardson and Central Point elementary schools. She joined La Clinica in August 2023.
Elizabeth is a licensed professional counselor and a certified alcohol and drug counselor. She has worked in the mental health and substance use counseling field in Southern Oregon since 2015. She completed an internship at Phoenix Counseling Center in Phoenix.
She holds two master’s degrees: one in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University, an online university in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and one in human services from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in behavioral science at Bellevue University.
In her work with patients, she focuses on helping people reach their full potential by providing them with practical tools. She uses a variety of approaches including play therapy and expressive arts.
Elizabeth lives in Medford. She grew up in Coos County and her family still lives there. She enjoys beach trips, rock hounding, movies, furniture refinishing projects, antiques, and sewing.
